AVI to VOB Converter??

Is there a simple and good program out there that any of you would recommend to convert an AVI file to a VOB so that I can burn some movies to DVD's?

you'll probably need an authoring program since vob's are just part of the structure in making playable dvd's
look under tools on the left menu...see if there's something there you can construct dvd's properly with

There are so many choices that it's impossible to list them all. Here's one: Quick Media Converter. It's free, and will convert pretty much anything into anything else, DVD-compliant files included. It has an "easy mode" for those who just want the thing done, but also an expert mode for fussier folks who want more control over quality/filesize and have the knowledge to tweak parameters. Then burn onto good media with Imgburn (also free, amazingly), and enjoy.
