  1. Hi,

    I'm trying to put some sports clips up on youtube. I have a Sony HDD camcorder and usually use Boilsoft Video Joiner to join various clips together. For some reason, I'm having an issue with some short clips missing a few seconds, so I'm trying to use AVS Video Editor 4.1.

    The clips maintain their integrity, but I am having a problem uploading to youtube. The clips are never sized right - there are always smaller with black bars above or to the side. I've tried seemingly everything - AVI, MPEG, MOV, "video for youtube", etc. I've tried the default as well as "HD" sizes. The HD sizes appears to be 16:9, but when I upload to youtube, the actually picture is small - I assume it's because black bars have been added.

    What am I doing wrong? Thanks for any advice out there.

    Are these "HD" sizes a minimum of 1280x720?

    If you're uploading 16:9 MPEGs (same with 4:3 MPEGs) then YouTube won't resize them properly, although you can now add a tag to make them be resized at playback:

    yttretch=16:9
