Hi,
Two years I was given a gift of DVD Lecture Series that I really wanted. However I never have enough time to sit and watch the DVDs, plus it is quite boring to sit in front of a TV and listen to a lecture. What is better is to take the audio out and put it into ipod. The problem is that there are 27 DVDs in total. And the speaker deals with atleast 15 topics on each DVD. And each of the 15 topics have sections and subsections, and they are all organised in different files, hence when I try to rip the audio I have to labour a lot, infact so much that I did not even attempt to complete after just 2 DVD. But recently something happened and I really have to go back to those lectures, and the same problem still stands. How do I rip DVD Audio in an easy way without having to go to multiple places to rip the audio. Could someone please suggest a way to do it specially if it is FREE.
thanks.... Ali

It might be worth to get DVD Audio Extractor for $30...at least try it.

It's not free (by a stretch), but Adobe Audition will take the audio off a DVD with three mouse clicks and dump it into a file.

If you don't want to fart around with a bunch of steps, programs and other crap use DVD Audio Extractor.
Rips & converts to several formats and will split by chapter into separate files & other options. -
Rip/demux the audio with dvddecrypter:

convert to other formats if required with LameXPI love it when a plan comes together! -
Another option -- simple and free -- is to use DVD2AVI. Despite its name, it will do several things, including separate audio from video. It sounds as if the DVD does not need ripping, so you can operate on it directly with DVD2AVI.
Save as .wav, then convert that into whatever format you ultimately want. Audacity is a free tool that will do such a conversion (and a whole bunch of other incredibly useful things). -
Thanks everybody for their comments. The DVD Audio Extractor is great not only it keeps it simple it also combines the split files of sections and sub section into one hour lecture (each dvd has four lectures of 1 hour each). I know it is a 30 day trial but I should be able to complete the transfer in 30 days and hope I never have to do that again.
Once again thank you everybody.
