Hello
i bought the EasyCap USB2.0 audio/video recorder
and it come's with the recording program Ulead VideoStudio movie wizard.
and when im recording (in any of format) the file becomes Very big up to 20 GB
for only 30-40 minutes of recording
i know i can convert the file after the recording but the problem is that it takes too long
so if any1 could recommend me other good recording application so i can choose the format
Divx or something and it would record me for example: 40 minutes length of film will be about - 350 MB automatically.
without conversation.
10x and have a nice day![]()

Its probably recording as a dv codec in avi format. - edit though come to think of it that should be a standard 13gb per hour so you may be recording in uncompressed rgb and that is huge for what you're looking for.
I haven't used ulead in quite some time for capping but there has to be some option for recording to another format. In the recording menu there should be either a diaolog box or a drop down menu where you can change the format. At the very least i have to imagine there is an option to record to mpeg2 dvd format. That will be considerablly smaller than the 20gb you are reporting.
I am not sure about divx capping with that particular software suite. First off you have to have divx installed. If the program doesn't specifically state it can record in divx it probably can't.
Check out capture software in the tools section for other options:

i picked the mpeg2 dvd format and it record's me about 4 gb for 30 minutes more or less.
i have the divx installed on my computer.
so which app u recommend me to record in Divx format or whatever so it will record 30 minutes in 400-500 MB instead of annoying 4 GB in the same quality more or less? because there are many apps in the url u sent me and i dunno which one 2 choose
