For some reason I can only capture in either right side or left side audio being there is only lines from my vhs and Sony camcorder for 1 plug for audio and the other video. How can I get it to play both right and left on the output. The grabber has both right and left side audio plugs along with an S plug and video plug. Any ideas?

Do you mean you have only one audio outlet from your camcorder? And the other is the yellow RCA video out from it? You might need a Y splitter from the one outlet from your camera and have two from the Y adapter. Of course this still would be mono split into left and right channels.
