    Hi I try to understand what codec a movie I have.

    I did open it with MediaInfo and find

    Code:
    Format: Advanced Video Codec
Format_Profile : High@L4.1
MuxingMode : Container profile=Unknown@4.1
CodecID: V_MPEG4/ISO/AVC

    is it H264 or Xvid or maybe something else?

    why I wonder is because the filmclip have a very good quality but is not big at all

    h264 = avc = advanced video codec. And yep, h264 is one of the best codecs for small file sizes.
