    Hi all,

i have a problem in converting one regional DVD into x264 (MKV) file.
The DVD has five .vob files and are having a different audio delay for each file.
i tried to convert the whole DVD into a single MKV file but from the middle of the movie i am loosing audio synchronization.
now i converted each vob file into different single MKV files and i tried to append using mkvmerge but the same problem arises.
all the converted single files had good audio synchronization but the resultant was bad.

can someone please provide a better solution.

    thanks

It might help if you told us your process - the software you used, any guide you followed etc.

And what exactly is a "regional DVD" ?

The more information you can give us, the more we can help you.

The best solution is to do it all in one if possible. Perhaps you need to use VOB2MPG to create a single MPG file, then convert that ?

Ok sir...Regional DVD refers to the region i am living in (India).
here in India we have many languages and one of the DVD with the sub-regional language.

The software i am using is Xvid4PSP.

If all of a sudden in the middle of the movie it goes out of synch and then stays the same amount out of synch the rest of the way, then almost certainly there are 2 VOB IDs and the out-of-synch audio begins with the second VOB ID. One answer is to demux the 2 VOB IDs separately (PGCDemux), fix the audio for the second one, and then join them again for the encoding. There are other ways as well, such as encoding them separately.

Rip the entire DVD with DVDDecrypter as one giant lump of video(File Splitting NONE in IFO Mode) and see if the sync problem comes back.
