I need to get a new video card, and have this motherboard, which has only PCI Express 1 slots (MSI K8N Neo4 Platinum). If I buy a video card with a PCI Express 2.0 interface, will it work on my motherboard?

Yes, a 2.0 card will work in a 1.0 slot. At least it should assuming the manufacturer followed the PCIe specifications.

The most important thing is to make sure your PSU can handle your new card. Some of the higher end cards draw a lot of power, so be sure to check.

note: I am using a card with a higher PCIe revision in a board with a lower one, the Asus A8N-SLI Premium.

Thanks. Just ordered an ATI 4350. I have a 480W power supply, so it should not be a problem.

A 2.0 pci-e wont work in all 1.0 boards which i found out when i bought a 8800gt and put it in an asus m2v,seems like via chipsets were having issues with 2.0,make sure your board doesnt have that problem,if its nforce then it should be ok.
    I think,therefore i am a hamster.
