On our Toshiba SD-260SY DVD/VCR/CD player I successfully changed to 'Multi-Regions' using a hack ("2.4,0,3,9,6,0") from a similar Toshiba model multi-region hack (ours wasn't listed). We can now play all DVD regions but CDs no longer play. Are CDs 'regionalized' also? And do they need a 'multi-region hack to accompany the DVD multi-region hack?
    Any help appreciated.

    thks, rexas_texas

No, they are not. CD playback is generally independent of DVD playback (different lasers, no regions etc). However blindly changing hidden settings could have turned off something in the firmware.

Or it could just be co-incidence.

Try putting it back to the factory setting and see if CDs will play again.
