No. And it also cannot be hacked to play BluRay. BluRay and HD DVD need a special laser not present in DVD only players.
-
Sure. You can use the same hack that allows you to play dvd's on your vcd player.

Nope

Anyway - the answer is no, as stated by everyone above."I will not be pushed, filed, stamped, indexed, briefed, debriefed, or numbered! My life is my own" - the Prisoner

For a minute, I thought you were going to suggest a record player.Originally Posted by Number Six

Whenever I see these types of threads, I always wonder whether or not the people are serious. I do understand that they need help, but of the cranial variety, not video.

It's amazing what playback features are disabled on DVD players. Some budget Pioneer players for example can playback SACD if the firmware is hacked, but only in two channels.

There's been a few of these suspect threads lately. It's probably a disgruntled or banned member who is logging under different userids just to bait. Even if their ip is banned, generally it's very easy to quickly get a new one from your isp with a simple feature in most routers.Originally Posted by Supreme2k
My suggestion is that after the first guy answers everyone else should just ignore the thread. They'll tire of the game when they can't get a rise out of anyone. There's not much to do but then I can't do much anyway. -

So how about being able to play 8 track tapes in it? That isn't a disc formOriginally Posted by number six

Come on guys, sure you can - just open the DVD player case and remove the contents - then open an HD player case, remove the contents and install them in the DVD player case (some assembly required - and perhaps a case mod))- simple!
