    hello,
    i have an axxo movie (688x280)
    This movie has black bars.
    i want to cut the bars with vurtualdub cropping.
    But i see no black bars in virtualdub.
    wat can i do?
    i hope you can help me

    THen it doesn't have any black borders. The software player may add borders if you play it in FULL screen or if it contain soft subtitles .

    But axxo movie? sounds like downloaded warez crap.

  3. 688x280 is about a 2.45:1 aspect ratio assuming square pixels. It should have black bars when viewed on a 4:3, 16:9, or 16:10 display.

    oke but i have a 'normal' tv no widescreen.
    do you have an idea what can i do to get no bars ?

    Crop half the picture away or squish it to fit.
