  1. im doing some experimenting with this VCDComposer GUI and im having troubles. i ONLY author chapters (no menus, etc.) and ONLY use standard (S)VCDs. i use VCDEasy mainly with no problems but it appears VCDComposer is a tad more precise. i just cant get it to produce a disc that works.

so how do i produce successful chapters/entrypoints? are there specific checkboxes i must do? any nitpicky procedures? all it does when i make my entrypoints is burn a disc that has NO chapters. i dont know of any guides out there. i hope somebody can help me. thanks.

  5. What I meant was, can you post your XML file. Also, a copy of the exact build error messages can be helpful.

  6. ...might want to mention VCDComposer uses ".vcm" as
    the extension instead of ".xml"

I'm not sure what You want to produce, but there are a couple of guides on the hompeage of VCDComposer (http://www.algonet.se/~pretzel/VCDComposer, but they mainly deals with menus/chapters.
The errors comes from GNU VCDImager, and I tend to get them some times as well, but my discs usually works anyway.
It might be that VCDEasy create XML-structures automatically whereas VCDComposer does not (aprt from the things You can find in the wizards, all have to be added "by hand").
In this aspect, one interesting thing would be to compare the XML from VCDEasy and VCDComposer when You create discs that should be the same. There *might* be (okay; most certainly are) quirks in VCDComposer still, but I'm working on it, and it usually works for me...
