I'm using NeroVision to create a menu that must have 18 chapters. BUT, it won't allow me to do more than 15. It's important to me, in this project, to get all chapters on one screen.
Does anyone know of a freeware DVD maker I can use as an alternate that does this? Any info is appreciated. Thanks!

There is a limit to the number of buttons you can have on a menu. For widescreen menus it is 18. For fullscreen menus it is higher (36 ?). If you have a next, previous and main button, then add 15 chapters, you have reached your limit. This is set in the DVD spec.
You need to either use fullscreen menus, or split them upRead my blog here.

Hunh guns1inger -- I've made many menus with 32 chapter buttons (and 4 buttons for intra menu nav) widescreen
Where is it set in the spec? -
Menus designed as 4:3 only can have up to 36 buttons (which is your 32 + 4).
Menus designed to works as both 16:9 and 4:3 P&S can have up to 18 buttons, and menus designed to work in 16:9, 4L3 P&S and 4:3 letterbox can have up to 12 buttons per page.
Most authoring tools will only author either 4:3 only, or 16:9/4:3 P&S, and so have only the 36 and 18 button limits.Read my blog here.

Just created a chapter menu in each aspect (28 buttons per page --24 chapter buttons) in TitleWriter (4.64 Beta Unreleased) works fine all players
Perhaps another of those specs that means nothing (I use the 36 limit in all cases)
Of course the buttons/thumbnails are rather tiny
Oops -- Its creating 4:3 menus in this case -- My Bad -- but of course it still works fine with 16:9 vts Movies -
There is nothing to stop an authoring tool creating 4:3 menus that link to 16:9 titles. Many commercial discs use this design either because they use a standard template (Paramount) or find it is more compatible with the way (predominantly US) audiences have their kit set up. Many low-end authoring tools create 4:3 menus only simply because it is easier to handle a single aspect ratio.

That's alright. I decided this project works fine if I split the chapter listing over two menus.
Thanks for your help!
