  1. When I convert from Divx to SVCD I do the following:
Use Virtualdub to make the sound to wav
+volume to 250% as the volume in the final SVCD seems to be
    lower than the original Divx.
When I play the seperate Wav in Windows Mediaplayer it sounds perfect
just like the divx, but after converting the movie with the avi and the wav, the audioquality is reduced very heavily (it sounds very digital -difficult to explane - but its sucks).
I do like it is explaned in the guide on this page.

is there any settings that could help me get rid of this problem

    THANKS

  3. I read that TMPGEnc has so so audio encoding, but if you go to [options»Environmental settings] you can add an external tool and use toolame (or lame) and it should fix any audio problems.
