Need help stitching vob files together

I'm new to dvd ripping and I need help figuring out how to stitch multiple 20 minute vob files into one avi file. I tried using visualhub, but everytime I stitched the files all I got was one 20 minute avi file. I don't know if I'm doing something wrong, or if theres a better way of going about doing this. Any help on the matter is greatly appreciated.

Are these VOBs from a single DVD, or from multiple DVDs ? I am guessing multiple discs, in which case you may have to first extract the video and audio into MPG files, then try to add them together.

they're all from one dvd. i used mactheripper to rip the dvd and it was ripped as 5 separate vob files

MacTheRipper can rip each DVD title to a single large VOB, if you set it up to do so.

Drop the first VOB onto MPEG Streamclip and, when the app asks you whether you want to open the whole thing, agree. Then export as you see fit.
