    I want to change the sound settings on ps3, however i do no know the audio frequency of my tv, it doesnt say anywhere and i dont want to damage my speakers. my tv is a umc 21.6" full hd tv with 2ch nicam stereo sound. i am currently using LPCM but i find the quality transparent. any ideas please?

    It shouldn't matter which settings are used, especially when outputting sound to a TV with only stereo speakers. Simply try the different settings and see what works best for you.

    How are you passing the audio to the TV ? If you are using HDMI to pass video and audio then the TV will just down convert what it gets to something it can use. Given how crappy television audio is, you aren't likely to notice the difference between 44.1 and 48 kHz, and you aren't going to get better than stereo anyway.
