  1. Hi
Has anyone used the batch render script in Vegas pro 8? I can't seem to set it up for a multiple batch render.

    Thanks in advance

Unless things have changed, it isn't for batching multiple video renders, but for rendering a video and audio elementary stream in a batch, for example, for DVD authoring.

I am still using Vegas 7 at home, and there isn't any documentation for the scripts in the help file. The Batch Render script in 6 and 7 is only there to batch elementary streams or to create multiple format outputs of a single timeline (e.g. render the streams for DVD authoring, as well as an iPod ready download version), not for batching multiple timeline renders.

Multi-clip, or multi-project ? There are scripts around to render different regions of the timeline, similar to the script in sound forge. I haven't seen one for batch rendering projects though.

Hi , I'd just want to throw some info here in case it helps. If in Vegas 8 (I believe it works in prior versions) you want to select given blocks or segments of the timeline, it is possible to batch render them in one full render click. Basically mark each of the regions you want to batch render and once they're selected click R, to create a Region. Do this for every single piece of the timeline you want to render. Once this is done go to TOOLS, then Scripting, then choose Batch mode. In the pop up menu that pops out choose the format or formats (if you want to export to multiple formats) that you want your 'regions' exported to. Then at the bottom make sure you mark the option 'Regions'. Then accept and Vegas will start the batch render process.

There is also a free script from Jetdv that even assigns the region name to the batch rendered clips.....
