  1. Is last years model better? (HF11)

Going by the reviews the HF200 does bad in low light other than that what is the differance in the HF11 and HF200? I see none but the 15x Optical zoom on this years model.

    Thoughts?

Since I had to make the same decision, let me help you out: main differences between the two are (in favor of the HF20): 24mbps recording, face recognition, 15x zoom, Digic III processor, pre-record, higher mp pictures, new UI, supposedly better buttons and (especially kept this for last) smaller sensor with higher megapixel count.

Now, I have the HF200 because I figured I'd do most shooting outdoors/in good light anyway. When this is the case, the HF200 simply trashes the HF10 (HF11 has 24mbps too), it provides a lot more resolution. But when lights dim, the HF200 does struggle a bit with noise, so cinema mode/25P is needed to get a better picture in those cases.
