    Sorry if this ? has been asked recently but I can't seem to figure out how to convert video from my HD DVR to a computer file such as MP4 or other HD format. I've been told by most that it cannot be done but this can't be true since I have many MP4 HD basketball broadcasts that i have downloaded. I assume you need a TV card that can capture HD video and some sort of software.

    Please Help.

    I guess you have ATSC HDTV ? THen use https://www.videohelp.com/capturecards?CaptureCard=&atsc=1&hdtv=1&searchconnection=Any&...&Search=Search capture card.
