I may be suffering from information overload here!!!

Managed to rip my purchased copy of a Blu-ray movie to my pc with anydvd.

    Ended up with:

    BDMV folder
    CERTIFICATE folder
    PS3 UPDATE folder
    PS3_VPRM folder
    083624896 zip
    083624897 zip
    FilmIndex.xml
    PS3_DISC.SFB
    (Total folder size 41.5.gig)

With your help i an hoping to get this movie in blu-ray quality to my PS3 via external hard drive.
I do not need the movie extras, etc.
Space not really an issue, but i am a bit lost with the next steps to take to do this.

Looked through the guides, but not sure which one to follow.
Appreciate any help pointing me in the right direction.

    Regards...Pensioner

You could use RipBot264 as it should be able to convert to a PS3 format. Or try BD Rebuilder, though I'm not familiar enough with a PS3 to know how it would work. Alternately, you can use tsMuxeR to just select the main movie and the desired audio track and end up with a .m2ts file from the BD. That usually ends up at about 20 - 30 or so gigabytes, but it will be the same quality as the BD disc.

Hmmm,i am still a bit lost here, already have lots of m2ts files.
Is there a step by step guide,i am not wanting to create a disc, just a playable file for my ps3.
    Thanks for your patience

Try RipBot264. That should be the easiest way to do what you want.

The PS3 requires the external hard drive to be formatted
in FAT32 and thus limits the filesize to 4 GB.
That leaves you with very hard compressed movies or chopped
    in 4 GB parts.
