I'm using MeGUI for encoding DVD to AVI with Xvid. The problem is that the output video bitrate is higher than the target bitrate, and so the output is oversized. It must be the codec issue because this happens regardless of the source video type. There is no such problem if I encode the same source with x264 (setting respective bitrate). Also, encoding with H.263 Quantization type gives higher output bitrate than with MPEG Qt. I tried different MeGUI Xvid profiles. If you have any ideas, please, help me out. I could post log or whatever if necessary.
