I've recentley bought a Sony HDR SR12. And it has four recording settings, two HD and two SD. But I can't seem to find the difference between HD SF and HD HQ. It says under SF that it is 1080i, and under HQ it only says it's High Quality, nothing more. I'd really like know more specs on these settings.
Next to that, there is a Smooth Slow Recording mode, which allows you to record in slow motion. Whenever I do this, it seems the video is alot darker, is this normal? And when I press record, it starts buffering for some seconds and then it starts recording for 3 to 4 seconds. Can't I make it recording a longer time? and without buffering?
