i have a sony vaio notebook AR41S with a S-video in (and also S-video out)
now i need to capture video using my s-video in and i have absolutely no idea how i can even get an image from S-video out to S-video in. (i can connect the cable but that's about it)
i have tried connecting my computers S-video out on the s-video in from my notebook, but i don't even know wich program i need to use and wich settings i need to use to get an image/video.
i am completely new to this forum and i saw some threads on capturing but couldn't find the topic in wich i had to look. can anyone help me please.
i tried looking in the windows help files and on the sony vaio forum but i can't find anything about using the s-video in.
my goal is eventually to make a training movie for cardiologists on pacemaker implantation. for that i need to connect the X-ray machine from the hospital using s-video with my notebook.

Did it come with any video editing software? At minimum WMM should be able to import from the port. Make sure video is connected before you boot.
The port may not be live plug and play.

In the Import Section. Try "Import from camera". Sony should have installed drivers for their S-Video in + audio in. It should all be in the documentation. Call Sony support.
