The all-powerful all-knowing dvd2svcd is considering a TMPGEnc option in his MOST EXCELLENT ripping program DVD2SVCD. There is already an alpha version available for download with reports of sucess.
So anyone not using this most excellent program due to lack of tmpgenc support, give the new version a shot!

baker i think you have entirely missed the point
Personally I will continue using CCE, and in my opinion, accept no substitute! However, there are several people out there who dont have CCE, cant afford CCE, and dont want to obtain an "un-watermarked" version through other means.
This new feature of DVD2SVCD opens those people up to the choice, as well as the rest of us, a CHOICE, to use the encoder we want to use. Most importantly, it allows people who dont have CCE to use TMPGEnc, and use the greatest DVD ripping utility ever created!
Obviously, you choose CCE... good choice ;o) But thank GOD for ability to choose as individuals, and thank dvd2svcd for extending that right to choose to his awesome program)
