  1. I have a set of vobs on my computer that I'm waiting to burn to dvd (just need some dual layer discs ). Recently, I went to play them and I discovered something strange. The audio was coming through fine, but there was no video. There was only a blue screen. (I had done nothing to modify or change the vobs) I've tried to play these with several different players and all have yielded the same result. Is there a method to restore the video?

    Thanks.

Can you confirm that there was anything other than a blue screen in the vob files at any earlier time? What was the original source? How were the vobs obtained?

Unless you have already done so, try playing them with VLC. If VLC doesn't work, the files are likely corrupted.
