I have been trying to use DVD Lab Pro to create and re-author a DVD with menu's a several different files for around 2 weeks now and I'm still having problems. I haven't been able to find a tutorial that can help me either.

When starting a new document in DVD Lab I upload several VOBs which all include the audio. I have converted AVI files into the VOBS I am using.

I create the menus, buttons and add all the VOBS which seems to play perfectly with both Video and Audio in the preview window but when I compile the file I am left with a DVD with perfect menus and video but no audio!!

I am new to this and I would appreciate any advise on what I'm doing wrong.

    Many thanks

  2. don't import the vobs without letting dvdlab demux them. then use them as separate streams.

unless the audio is pcm wav, mpeg2, or ac3 it won't work on a dvd.

Any suggestions or tips on where I have to go to demux the VOBs? Will DVD lab split the file into Video and Audio?

  4. yes dvdlab will do it, as you import them it pops up and asks if you want to. click the demux and use as elemental streams.

  5. DVDLab's demux isn't the fastest, and i've found sync issues when demuxing vobs, YMMV.
I prefer to encode the avi to elementary streams, mpv or mp2 and mpa (mpeg3, layer 2) in your favourite encoder, then import to dvdlab and author.

If you already have VOBs, demux first with PGCDemux or similar (Womble or Videoredo can also do this if you have them)
