Here's the deal and hope someone can help.
I have a lot of films on my Windows XP MCE PC. They are in VIDEO_TS format so to say, so seperate VOB files. I can play these on my PC and also through the network to my old V1 XBOX with XBMC.
I have setup my XBOX 360 to connect to my Windows Media Player PC. I can stream picture's and MP3's to my 360. No problem. But the XBOX 360 does not support VIDEO_TS streaming over the network. I now use DVDShrink to shrink the VIDEO_TS folder to 1 single VOB file. I rename the VOB file to MPG and now I can stream it to my 360! HURRAY! Well not entirely. Allthough I have told DVDShrink to include subtitles I cannot select any on my 360.
So how can I embed subs into the MPG file so that it always show?
    Thanks

You must add hardcoded subtitles and it would require that you reconvert and then it would be easier to convert the dvds to avi divx/xvid using for example fairuse wizard.

  3. What subtitle format does a X360 support? I stream divx to it & there is a subtitle button but they never display.

The Xbox 360 does not support divx subtitles. Only subtitles on dvd.
