Advice Req: Filtering Audio Files For A Clearer Sound

I have some Audio files i would like to filter.

Can anyone recommended a software i could use to make the outcome of the file sound more crisper/clearer?

As with video, there is no one-filter-fixes-all solution. You may need a combination of different filters, however without knowing exactly what type of problem you are trying to fix, it is difficult to be more specific.

Audacity has a collection of filters built in, including noise reduction and EQ filters, and you can download a huge collection of extra filters form the same site. You can play around with these, or give us more specifics, or better yet a sample, so we can help you in more detail.
