    Hi,

I'm creating a DVD and need to convert an .AVI file to .VOB file. Can anybody recommend some free software that will allow me to do this without compression?

    Thanks In Advance

Can't be done without compression as they're 2 different formats. The one is most likely XviD or DivX MPEG-4 and the other is MPEG-2 video. If you want to convert an AVI movie to DVD, then try FAVC, DVD Flick or AVI2DVD, maybe.

If you convert your AVI to a different format, it will always have some compression/quality loss. But if your source is a typical 700Mb Xvid off the net, try the freeware FAVC or Avi2Dvd or DVD Flick and it should look fairly good.

    And welcome to our forums.

    EDIT: manono typed faster.
