HI There
I have an intermittent problem in that when I record DVB-TV (does not occur on Svideo), that there are
audio glitches in the audio path. If I listen to the programme (watch whilst recording) I do not hear the
glitches at all, but is in the mpeg file when playing it back.
It does not matter what channel it occurs on.
The TV card I use is AverMedia 007. I also have Hauppauge 1300, and it does not occur on this card.
If I move the Avermedia card to another system (I have 3 systems) the problem is prevalent on every
system. All systems have Asus motherboard, M3A, M2NXE, and M1. All processors are Athlon 5200+ and
it has been tested on both XP32bit and XP64bit. I have had the latest drivers loaded and has not improved
the issue at all.
I originally took this up with Aver Support, they say after 3 months analysis that they have no clue what it is.
Correct me If I am wrong, but, Video/Audio stream is basically taken from the card and stored on the Hard Drive
in otherwords, when recording, it is not passed through a sound card, or sound chip on the motherboard.
I have included jpeg image of 4 glitches analysed in Nero wave editor.
Can anyone assist on this at all.
Best Regards
John Cooper
