Vdub to CCE2.5

I create SVCD from my captured DV home videos. I frameserve from Vdub to CCE2.5. What virtualdub filters should I use to get the BEST
QUALITY? What's the difference between Deinterlace and Smart Deinterlace? Any input is very much appreciated.

If by BEST QUALITY you mean best fidelity to the original, the answer is NONE. If you mean best-looking final output, NO ONE can tell you how much salt YOU like on YOUR french fries.
Having said that, many hours of experimentation have shown me that light noise filtering is probably best for general use. Your DV input should not suffer much from noise, and I don't think it is interlaced.
Smart De-interlacer attempts to detect interlacing and only DI when necessary, Deinterlace just blends fields regardless. Most say Deinterlace for PC viewing, leave alone for TV but I find TV output looks better to me if it is DeInterlaced.
