Hi, I finished my WMM project, and saved it to dv-avi file (as I had always saved it to WMV file before but the video came out too blurry/grainy. The size is 7.35gb. Now I want to put it on a dvd to watch. But my dvd's are only 4.3gb. What should I do? I have convertxtodvd. Will that compress the file to fit the 4.3gb dvd? Will doing that cause degredation to the video quality?? Are there larger dvd's that hold more than 7.35gb?

You can use ConvertXtoDVD, or DVD Flick, or FAVC, or AVS2DVD. You have to convert the file to DVD compliant video and audio, as DV avi is not a valid DVD format. If you use a good quality encoder then the change will be minimal. 7.35GB DV is only about 35 - 40 minutes running time, so the quality should be high.

"If you use a good quality encoder" then the quality of the video will only slightly decrease. Is convertxtodvd a "good encoder"??? Or dvd flick??

My preference would be FAVC, but only if you don't want fancy menus. or use FAVC, keep the working files, and author your disc in GUIForDVDAuthor.

FAVC. If I use this, can my 7.35gb dv-avi video fit on my 4.3gb dvd? Does the FAVC compress it to fit on the 4.3gb dvd?
