  1. First time encoding with TMPGEnc. I converted an AVI file to MPG and now I am having trouble cutting it into two parts so I can get it on to SVCD.
The file size is about 1GB. I am using TMPEnc to cut just like it says in the "How to" section. I am getting an error when double click on the file "read error occured at address 1c405912 in module clmspl.ax".
I cannot seem to find anything that will cut this into two parts.
Any ideas or did I screw up the original encoding?
The original AVI file was Mpeg2 quality and was 700Mb(dv3).

  2. I suggest instead of trying to cut it (and ending up with a possible A/V sync) that you simply re-encode the AVI but using the Source Range in TMPGEnc to pre-set each segment to the CD you want.

  3. I have had good sucess with MYFlix.
You will find it in the TOOLS section of this site.

    You basicly Open the video.
Choose New Edit List (Or something like that)
Select the range of video you want to be the first clip and click the down arrow.
Then do the same for the second half.
Finaly you use the far right button (Export clip or something like that)
