What software would make this the easiest to do (if Possible..).. Please just assume that the Video is all encoded the same..and everything is ok...

Thanks For your time and Help!!

  2. Ok, I have a half assed answer for you..

YES it is possible to put a menu lay out on a VCD it can only be one Menu
You cannot do root menus like you could on a DVD... Either way the best software I have found to do this back when I was looking into it was EasyCD creator 5.0 it has the option to put a menu setup on your VCD I have however been very lazy and have never bothered to try it.. But it has the option to do so none the less.
It will let you pick out a JPG or a pic from a MPG as the background, not sure if it will allow music to being playing?! But the rest of it should be pretty easy. Just read over the help files or the manuel and it should explain how to do it

    Hi--
Another easy, but limited, way of doing a menu on your VCD would be to use Nero's menu function. I have used this when putting several Simpsons episodes on one disk. It basically shows up as a black screen with white letters.....the menu is customizable to say what you choose. I usually have the disc title and number, then the names of the videos (in my case Simpsons episodes). I believe you can also use thumbnails in these menus. . I have used them to create photo VCD's whose menu shows every picture as a thumbnail.

  4. i also use Nero for my menu's. its pretty easy to use and yes you can have thumbnails. i think up to 12 or 15 per menu page. i think there is a maximum of menu pages though like either 2 or 3 i can't remember. i know there's another program out there to create motion menu thumbnails which i'm going to learn next..........

  5. Try using Ulead's DVD Movie Factory. I've have good success making menus, in fact just use the Wizard -> make VCD -> grab the multiple *.mpeg's and continue on... it will make the menus for you on the fly. I even got the menu's to work in my (POS) JVC-XVD2000 which is very picky and only plays CD-RW's.
