Ok, I'm new to video and this forum so I looked (but don't even know what I should be looking for).
We filmed using a minDV camcorder of my friend's. Tape was stored inside the house. Played fine on his camcorder last time I was there. Took the tape & played/captured from my parent's miniDV camcorder (I can get you the brand/model numbers for both) and it does not play correctly. That camcorder will record & playback just fine.
I don't know if this is a damaged tape, the camcorder is jacked up (was told that the heads could be aligned differently), or what. I can't try it on my friend's camcorder any time soon as he's 4 hours away from me.
Any ideas??
Here's the video:

Thanks!!

I don't know that the head alignment is an issue on DV as it was with VHS. I'd have to think about it for a minute. Want my help? Ask here! (not via PM!)

Did you try the head cleaning? Your symptom is exactly that of a dirty or defective head.
