Hi everyone!
I came across this site and it looks to be very informative
Im trying to figure out the best way to convert all my VHS tapes to AVI. format
and would like to know the best device out there thats simple to use and gives the best
quality.
I dont want my movies on DVD. Just AVI. files so I can put them on my PMP, computer etc.
If anyone can advise a great device for doing this, please post the model. Also, Im in South Korea
at the moment, so if there are any Korean made devices like LG, Samsung etc. that would even
be better
Thanks!!

You might just go get a dvd recorder unit, their cheap now, and grab a video stabilizer, in case of macrovision found on commercial tape's.
Your pc will only need to rip and encode to avi from the created discs, which is good for those that don't want to rummage around with their pc's internals.
