Which rezise filter you choose? (Gordian Knot)

Here's an issue that i never fully understood, so i am asking you:

Which you think will enconde with better Quality??? Using Gordian Knot to make a DVDRip.

Please try to justify.

My Gordian Knot always auto choose the Lanczos, i dont know why

not that i ever use gk,
but i like a sharp resize.

Of those choices, it's always Lanczos for me as well.
