I'm trying to convert some .vob movies into avi format; I can play the original files on my PC using VLC media player, but if I try to convert them using alltoavi it doesn't work. How should I process the vob files and with which tool?

Thanks! I have just learned that vob files are a kind of DVD video stuff. I have a serie of .vob that likely belong to a single DVD. Can I pack them together in a DVD video, using Imageburn or similar?
    Thank you again.

If they came from a DVD then they should also have IFO and BUP files. Load the ifo file instead of the VOB, and AutoGK will be able to work out which titles are in which VOBs.
