How do you determine how many minutes of video can fit on a cd, i tried to use the bitrate calculator but it did not work well for me.

74 minutes on a 74min CD 80mins on an 80min CD are the standard.
Though I believe there are ways(in fact I'm sure there are) of getting up to about 100-120 minutes of video on an 80minute CD but the quality loss is significant after about 90 minutes from what I hear.
And technically you could probably fit 4 hours of video onto one CD if you dropped the bitrate far enough but you're still after the key thing; that being watchability. If you can't watch it, whats the point right?
