    Is there a way to send dvd to mov and what programs do i need ?

    You have to, of course, get the DVD ripped to your hard drive. I could be mistaken, but there is a ripper for Macs, but I cant remember the name so I don't want to misspeak.

    Once the VOBs are decrypted an in your computer, use a program called bbDemux to separate the MPEG2 video and AC3 audio.

    Encode the audio to AIFF with mAC3dec.

    Encode the video to Quicktime with MacMPEG2Decoder.

    Use Quicktime 5 Pro to combine your AIFF file with the Quicktime video. The sync should be fine.

    You may want to use Quicktime 5 Pro to compress your audio for a smaller file size, since AIFF files produced by mAC3dec are uncompressed.
