    I would like to know if it's possible (and better than TMPGEnc) to join, cut, edit, convert, ..... SVCD with Adobe premiere ?

    Adobe Premiere is great for editing and creating digital video, you still need a encoder though to create the MPEG file (with a MPEG encoder such as TMPGEN, LSX, Panasonic) to convert the avi you get out of premiere. You need the MPEG to burn the VCD
