Do i need to convert if i have a divx dvd player?

If i have a divx dvd player,do i still need to use a program like convertxtodvd to burn the movie?if not, how do i burn the the movie or avi or divx file to a blank disc? thanks

just burn it as a data disc. The player will find the files.

Yes, you can use RW media. If you have Nero Burning Rom elect to make a DVD-ROM ISO. Drag your files to the compilation window. Burn.

The AutoGK tutorial explains the process for burning to CD. Burning to DVD is the same, but you set Nero to burn a DVD instead:

Or use Imgburn in build mode. No need to have Nero's bloated carcass clogging your system.

I use Roxio 8 and just burn as a data disk. Works great. Haven't had a coaster yet.
