Hi video forumeers,
Let me first start by an exemple wich you probably know very well too:
While trying to open a video file/movie :
In VLC : does not open but instead, says messages: " do you want to rebuild index or just play as it is without fixing" ...
In MPC : ...it says "buffuring...1% .... xx %" ...waiting to open the valid portion of the file ...
So , now, I'm searching a utility ( command line ) wich can quickly scan the video files and output a log.file wich can report me such kind of problem ( and other problem report would nice as well !)
What did I tried up to now ?
1) ffmpeg : does not work yet for me... could work but i canot send screen result to stdout ... file d:\f\error.log !?
maybe something wrong to my command line:
ffmpeg -i d:\f\2.avi null - >d:\f\error.log
2) exiftool(-k).exe : works ok , great tool, but onyl works in this case on completely valid file or completely dead files...
exiftool(-k) d:\f\n.avi >d:\f\error.log
(info & download here: http://owl.phy.queensu.ca/~phil/exiftool/ )
So, if you know other command-line utility wich can help in this matter ? I would appreciate.
Tks in advance. Steve ( From France... sorry for my english...)
