    When exporting video out of Avid as AVI (uncompressed),
    after a time a message appears: file size too large.
    The file size at that moment is 1.9Gb and Avid does
    not continue.

    What can I do?

    (My harddisk is NTFS formatted)

    Some few(mostly older) programs can't make avis bigger than 2GB. See http://neuron2.net/LVG/filesize.html

    Export the video in 1.8GB chunks, then stitch together again (File>Append) with Virtualdub (take care to select Direct Stream Copy under Video and Audio).
