Hey folks,
Quick and dirty question for you.
I burn a scad (southern for "a bunch") of audio CDs. For years I used Roxio's burning engine, but find the newer builds to be...well...not so good. And, I can't use my older, more reliable version on my A/V computer build (it doesn't see my DVD burners).
I'm looking for the engine that does for audio CDs what IMGBurn does for DVDs.
Any suggestions are appreciated.
Thanks a lot.

I use Musicmatch Jukebox 7.5. I Won't use anything newer.
For just doing a disc to disc copy, Nero works fine. -
cd architect - not free but produces red book compliant cds.

http://www.feurio.com/English/index.shtml for me. There really isn't anything that compares to this short of costly professional software. Supports CD-text, track editing, flags, index markers (does anyone use these any more?), ISRC/UPC, user defined pauses, etc. It's shareware, but the trial version isn't limited in any way and you're bound by the honor system to send in your $29.

Feurio is a great application, but it may not work/recognize todays burners. I used to use it all the time and loved it. About a year ago, I downloaded it again and couldn't get it to work correctly easily. Both my LiteOn DVD burners were recognized, but the drivers Feurio uses are way outdated. I had to really tweak it to get it to work.

While it's true Feurio could use some updated drivers, it does have a selection of generic drivers available if you click the INFO button next to the burner name, then driver > select driver. If Feurio gives you a "driver unsuitable" message then try each of the generic drivers in simulated burn mode till you find one that works. Usually one of them will work with most any burner. Feurio is still the best audio CD writer considering it's features, despite it driver issues sometimes.

Ashampoo Burning Studio 6 is free and supposedly very good. I've only used it a little but it seems to work very much like Nero.

Formerly: I used burnatonce for CDs, DVDdecrypter for DVDs.
Anymore (thanks LightninUK): Imgburn for Audio CDs, DVDs (both image and folder), file folders, etc.. It'll burn just about anything - with few if any errors.;/ l ,[____], Its a Jeep thing,

Oh yeah; I forgot! The newest version of ImgBurn does audio CDs too. Let us know how well that works. I may not need cdrtfe anymore...

I just used ImgBurn today to copy an audio CD. The cuesheet it produced was a standard CDRwin cuesheet, complete with CD text. It was clear to me that I would be using ImgBurn from now on for burning audio CDs (as well as copying them). Formerly, I used "Burrrn" which worked, but was very picky about the cuesheet.
