    Hi

I've been asked to make the showreel DVD of the film we made at my film school this year. I have the film on Mini DV tape which I imported using Windows Movie maker. BUT...

The film is shot at 16:9 and it has been imported as 4:3, so everything looks squashed.

I have VirtualDub and I have tried exporting with a new aspect ratio. But although this fixes the picture, the sound lags and falls behind and the size of this file is enormous! (200 MB for 10 secs as a test).

Is there a way to import as 16:9, or is converting my only answer?
    Any help greatly appreciated!

    Thanks,

    Matt

Try change the aspect ratio in the dv with DVdate instead.
