I am using TMPGenc DVD Authoring v3.

I have a movie split into 10 chapters, and I have 1 trailer.
What I would like to be able to do is on the title page, have 3 buttons: Play Movie, Play Trailer and Scene Selection.
First button would go straight into playing the movie, 2nd button would play the trailer (no track menu, just straight into playing the trailer) and the 3rd button would go to the scene selection menu.

Can someone tell me how I go about does this?

Many thanks for any help you can give me

Ok, managed with help from other sources to get most of it working.
I can play the trailer from the title screen, and go to 'scene selection' screen.
The only thing I cannot get working, is the play button on the title screen. It plays, but it plays the trailer and then the movie...I only want it to play the movie.
    Any ideas guys?

With TDA3 you cannot have 1 link to play the movie and another link to go into a chapter selection, it's one or the other. As far as the "play all" button it will play all videos in the order you have added them into the source screen. So if you want it to play the movie, make the movie first however after the movie it will play the trailer.

  4. Yeah. TDA has this navigation limitation.

Although I have yet to do it myself, I believe you can alter the navigation structure of an already authored DVD with PgcEdit. It's free, so you've got nothing to lose by checking it out.

You can change navigation in PgcEdit, but for it to work in your case, you will have to create a Menu with all the buttons needed for different functions with highlights and all.
From there you can use PgcEdit to assign commands to each of the buttons, to do what you want.
Otherwise, if you want to get more involved with DVD creation, check DVD Lab. That will let you do all that you want, easy.

  8. Hi-

I think he already has all the menu buttons he needs. He said earlier he created one for the trailer, one for the movie, and one to go to the scenes menu. And the only problem is that the Play button for the movie first goes to the trailer before then going to the movie. Unless I'm reading him wrong. So the only thing he has to do is redirect the result of clicking on the Play Movie button (or whatever it's called) to go to the movie rather than the trailer. Not all that difficult if you've had some PGCEdit experience. gillmacca might be able to figure it out.

That is correct. I just need the play button to play to movie and nothing else.
I will let you know how I get on with PGCEdit.
Will be a couple of days as I am busy at the moment

There is no "Play" button in TDA. You can either highlight the video you want to play and play it or chosse "Play All" and it will play all titles in the order that they are in the Source screen. If one title has multiple clips then it will play the next clip or return to the menu depending on how you have the menu options set when going through the menu wizard.
