DVD+RW cannot be read again after i cancel burning a movie halfway.

I get cyberlink power2go burning software to burn a movie into a DVD+RW. However , halfway burning I cancel it as I wanna to do something else. I have been doing so for 5 disc and now my PC DVD drive is not able to read the disc again. The drive just keeps spinning the disc without stopping. How can I use the disc again?

I remember I once used NERO to stop the burning and the disc is usable again.

you're probably gonna have to reformat that disc if you're gonna use it to burn a movie again. use IMGBURN for burning dvd media.

Not the sort of thing you should do ... if the disc's are now just spinning, then trash them, there shot.

Only way to fix it is to erase the disc, but if your drive cannot read it, I think you are out of luck.

I can't format the disc as the disc is not even readable by my PC... However yesterday if i tried on my laptop is able to read the dsic.... but i can format the disc still. It prompt error.

I will try IMGBURN ...

Whenever something like this happens to me, I just keep trying different applications that have a disc erase function. You can also try formatting the disc with Nero InCD or something...even if you don't want it formatted it may fix whatever problem there is with the disc then let you use it again. Eventually you will find something that works.

Hello friends, newbie here...i also want to share my problem... i m using sony dvd cam, when i bought, the dealer gave me 2 free dvd-rw,, it states there can reusing til 1000x, but js used it 5x, both already spoil,, js can record half way then stuck, then i bought the other brand from Taiwan, its ok, but disturb by' sony disc recommended :wink: ' on screen in the beginning. then i bought the FAKE sony dvd-rw, yea,, it work, i had already 15x reused n still very good condition. anybody can comment, something wrong with original dvd-rw or i don't know how to use or take care of it?
