Hey, I have a problem with the quality when im burning a dvd in dvd studio pro. i have a animation file made in AE that import into dvdsp and then burn it. but the problem is that the quality is not good at all.. i have tried to change the encode settings and all that in dvdsp to try to make it work, but nothing works...
anybody have a clue?

authoring programs don't change the quality of the input. the encoding is done to mpeg-2 and whatever audio beforehand and all the authoring app does is mux them together. whatever problem you have is occurring before the authoring stage.

OK so i should render the file out in another format? what format? i dont have any sound on it, its a reel for an event.

You need to actually read the manual for DSP and find out what formats it can take. If it can take DVD compliant mpeg-2, then you should produce this from AE. See What is DVD (top left corner) for what constitutes DVD compliant. I believe DSP will encode for you if you don't have a compliant file, but again, you need to confirm this in the manual, and look at how to correctly set up DSP for encoding if this is the case.
Also, what format are you currently rendering frm AE in ? Resolution and framerate are important.Read my blog here.
