I downloaded an avi file through kaaza and tried to format it through TMPGEnc to burn it to a VCD, when i tried i recieved the following message: "File "C:\WINDOWS\Desktop\My Music\(smr)lotr-cam(3 of 3).avi" cannot open, or unsupported." that is exactly how the message reads, any help would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks

you might want to try and pass it through divfix it might tell you if the file is broke or what...
(you can find divxfix in the tools section) -
Some .avi files are not able to be read by Tmpg, but just a little. If its the case, you can format it first using Virtualdub ... have luck !!

The easiest thing to do is read the guides on the left and download the codecs for TMPEnc. THen it will work fine

If TMPG won't open and you HAVE the codecs INSTALLED. You need to up the priority level of your DirectShow filter.
Go to OPTIONS, ENVIRONMENTLA SETTINGS, Vfapi PlugIn tab. Rt click on DirectShow Media Filter, and select INCREASE PRIORITY till it works.~~~Spidey~~~
